Interior design bedroom in nautical style

Bedroom in nautical style - a popular design solution. This style creates a feeling of purity and freshness in the soul, awakens memories of rest and summer, its color combinations have a beneficial effect on the psyche and allow you to relax and enjoy the peace.

The basis of the style is the natural colors of the sea, sky, sand, clouds. It uses materials such as wood, stone, and decorative elements reminiscent of the sea: seashells, pebbles, images of sea creatures.

All this allows you to feel the breath of breeze in the sea bedroom, the sound of the surf, relax the nervous system and truly relax.

Marine design has its own characteristics that can be used in the design of the room.

Colors. White, blue, cyan, turquoise, azure, beige, sand, dark blue are used as primary colors, coral, black, red, yellow, orange - as additional or accent.

Finish The walls of the bedroom in the nautical style can be trimmed with wood - it will resemble the ship's lining.

The decoration of the walls with decorative plaster looks good, the use of marine-based photo wallpapers is also permissible.

The floors are either covered with light colored carpeting, or a plank floor is imitating the deck.

Furniture. Selection of furniture in the marine bedroom requires a careful approach, it should be wood, and preferably with the effect of antiquity. Wicker furniture, leather, wooden, bamboo chests tied with decorative belts look interesting.

The decor. The main pattern associated with the sea in textiles is a strip. The bedroom in the sea style can be decorated with decorative pillows in the blue and white narrow stripes, furniture upholstery can have wide stripes of beige and blue shades.

On the shelf or nightstand near the bed you can put a beautiful sea shell, and hang a ship detail on the wall, but here you need a sense of proportion: too many decorative items can spoil the overall impression.

Coral details in the interior will add brightness and allow you to highlight items that need special attention, such as textiles or lamps.

Textile. The sea bedroom should be filled with breeze and freshness, and correctly selected textiles will help create such an impression. Light, almost transparent tulle or organza, falling loose folds and swaying at the slightest breeze of the wind, will give the desired effect.

They can be supplemented with thick curtains of unbleached linen or cotton, similar to vintage sails. To enhance the impression they are picked up by thin ropes, and at their end they are tied with sea knots.
